~Princess Dance Camp~

One of my good friends, Katie called to tell me about this great little camp that Jenks Dance Academy was putting on this summer, it was 5 days long for an hour and a half each day. Claire had been telling me lately that she wanted to take dance so I thought this would be a perfect way to try it out and see if it would be something she would like to do for the year. She was so funny the first day. At first she was unsure of what to do... she just stood there sucking her fingers looking around at everyone, it was hilarious. About ten minutes into it she finally started to move, lol! By the end of the class she had made friends with a little girl close to her age and they were holding hands and twirling around the room together, it was adorable! Every morning she would ask me, "Mommy, I go to dance class today?" of course the answer was yes for the next 4 days... by the end of the week she had actually learned some ballet and they performed for all of us moms during the Princess Tea Party, Cinderella was the guest of honor.. it was so cute :) So I decided this was definitely something she would like and I signed her up to take Ballet and Tap this next year. Her class starts August 16th. There are several firsts coming up for my sweet little three year old this fall, she also starts pre-school the second week of September... where has the time gone?!

Our Family Day in Branson

In my post about our nieces being in town I mentioned that we went to Branson... our last day there we spent it by ourselves as a family. We had so much fun! We went go carting and then we spent the rest of the afternoon at the Branson Landing. We ate at my favorite Philly Steak shop, Charlie's Steakery then we found ourselves eating dessert at a candy store on the landing, chocolate covered strawberries are my favorite! We did a little shopping and Claire did a little flirting on the playground with a really cute little boy who was smitten by her as well ;) I am really enjoying this mobile age Claire is finally in.
